Children's Work

Sunday Club

Our Sunday Club runs on the 3rd Sundays during the 10am Sunday Service, apart from during the month of August. At the beginning of the service all children are invited to join this friendly group for 30 minutes of teaching and craft activities and then return to the church to join in the Service. Parents and carers are welcome to accompany their children.

Coffee, Play and Praise!

'Coffee, Play and Praise!' is held three to four times a year, including the Teddy Bears' Tea Party (see below), usually on a wednesday in the church and is designed for parents and carers with pre-school age children. Playtime is followed by a short relaxed service with a story, singing and short prayers where the children are encouraged to take part. Refreshments are served afterwards and the children have another chance to play and take part in craft activities.

Youth Club

The St Mary's Youth Club, Locus, is open for children aged 11 to 14 and gets together on alternate Fridays  from 6.30pm to 8.00pm. We mostly meet in the Parish Room, where we enjoy indoor activities, including table tennis and craft making, and have parties. In the summer time we may go for walks around the lake or play tennis or other games at the recreation ground. We also have excursions, such as camping, paint balling and bowling.
